Bake-Fried Papad

Despite my consciousness of eating healthy diet, I am not 100% pure in that regard. I know baked Papad is healthier, but  I like fried Papad. But every time I used to think about frying Papad, I thought about leftover used oil that would lie around in cauldron for days, just for frying one or two papads. I ended up baking Papad instead.

One day I had left a can of spray oil on the kitchen counter. When I went to bake a Papad on electric stove with a grill on it, I tried spraying little oil on it before. I made sure that it was not so much to drip on the stove to cause fire. The result was amazing. The Papad tasted better than the deep fried one. And had minimum oil on it!  This was best of both the worlds. If you don’t use spray oil, you can spread liquid oil on Papad with your finger, and do the same. You can use gas stove also.

Recently I found out that you could bake Papad in microwave.  I tried bake-frying Papad in microwave also, and it worked well. Today before putting this post, I did some surfing. I found that others have fried Papad in microwave also. If 'you don't have microwave, or don't want to use it, you cand do the same on a stove.
